Americanized Much?

This image is taken at the Dead Sea, which is located between Israel, the West Bank and to the east Jordan. 

100 meters away from the Dead Sea is a conveniently located McDonald's, which I found to be strange when I looked at this picture. McDonalds, as many know, was opened in the 1940's in San Bernardino, California. McDonald's now, in 2008, can be found in 119 countries operating over 31,000 restaurants.
